Haircut Design

Haircut | Design

There's a lot more to designing a haircut than meets the eye. We use your face shape, features & lifestyle to guide how we contour your specific cut.

But I want my hair to grow. Why do I need to cut it?

I hear ya girl. All we need to do is maintain the shape so you don't end up with stringy broken hair. When you get a custom color, its like painting a haircut. So if the canvas is getting warped the color will start to look different. Haircuts are also designed to accentuate your unique features. You’ll be surprised how a 1/2 inch will give you volume and a mini face lift. No needles required. :)

Makeover Time?

Always let your stylist know if you're planning to make a big change especially before a color service. We'll want to shape it first before we paint the cut. Think of your cut as the canvas.

But, what if i don't I don't like my...

We all come in different shapes & sizes &  your haircut can compliment that. We can enhance or de-emphasize specific features and create movement with layering, graduation and texturizing the hair.

How do you style it?

how you style your hair & where you part it all effects the way we will want to shape your hair. if you part it on one side then decide you want to part it in the middle after we've cut you'll have a weird shelf. Let your stylist know what you like to do.

Low maintenance please

This will all depend on the texture of your hair. If you have straight fine to medium hair, maybe an inverted bob which has a defined shape will be the best for your wash & go lifestyle. On the other hand if you have coarse thick hair this will be a project to smooth and de-puff.

Fringe Benefits

Bangs are a great option to switch up your style with out fully changing your whole look. Just keep in mind your texture. In my experience the shorter you go the more you have to style em.

Pro Tip: the dirtier the better. bangs tend to cooperate when they have a bit of texture if you wash your hair daily try adding a texture spray.

How much is a trim vs a full haircut....

Sorry to break it to ya but, the amount of hair we cut doesn't make a difference in the steps we take to do a haircut. When you get a haircut you're purchasing the time & expertise of the stylist. Whether we cut an inch or we cut 6 inches it the same process to shape the cut.
